The Lehigh Valley Railroad maintained its own Aldene station on West First Avenue in Roselle, located just west of the roadway bridge. The station stood at milepost 17.1 and was established in 1906. Upon its opening, the station agent at South Cranford was transferred to Aldene, a move that stirred some local indignation—though in practice only a small number of commuters used either station. The two stations were separated by eight-tenths of a mile. Aldene was discontinued as a stop for commuter trains in 1930.
